THE LIFELINE PROGRAM® Lifeline Life Settlement Forum Immediately following the daylong event, we hosted a dinner and cocktail reception at Zoo Atlanta for our guests on the outdoor gorilla observation deck, featuring a sit-down dinner with musical entertainment by Davis and Dow. On Saturday, invited guests enjoyed brunch and a tour of The Lifeline Program headquarters. The rest of the weekend was devoted to experiencing Atlanta, networking with colleagues and celebrating a job well done. Be on the look-out for a full report on what happened at this fantastic event!
THE LIFELINE PROGRAM FALL CONFERENCE TOUR With the holidays just around the corner, The Lifeline Program is all geared up for one last conference tour in 2007. To get our fall swing started, we recently traveled to Montreal, Canada in late September for the Financial Service Forum. This exciting international event brought together more than 400 attendees to learn, network and share their wisdom. At the conference we were pleased to host an exhibit and gain exposure to the multidisciplinary network of credentialed financial professionals in attendance. As you might have expected, at the end of this month, we will once again travel to New York City for the Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) Fall Conference. A premiere event in the industry, LISA will bring together the top minds in the business for three days of education, discussion and networking. As always we can't wait to hit the Big Apple. Our fall tour concludes with a trip to Orlando, Florida for the 2007 NAILBA Annual Meeting. One of the industry's largest and most important events, we will be there to meet old friends, network with new ones and learn strategies to improve our business in the coming new year. If you are at any of these events, we hope to see you there.
SCOTT PAGE IN PRINT A true pioneer in the development and ongoing success of the Life Settlement industry, Scott Page, The Lifeline Program president, is regularly approached by leading industry publications and asked to contribute his expertise and perspectives for their readers. To this end, Scott has authored two articles for important industry periodicals, both being circulated in October. Scott's article titled "Transparency Has Arrived for Life Settlements" appears in the October issue of Life Insurance Selling magazine and is posted on the publication's website, www.lifeinsuranceselling.com. Focused on the concept of transparency in Life Settlement transactions, Scott's words provide an overview of the pros and cons of this contentious topic and his opinions about the future of full disclosure. Scott's second article "A Primer for Agents Considering Life Settlements" is published in the October 8 issue of National Underwriter and can be viewed at www.lifeandhealthinsurancenews.com. The article details how agents considering Life Settlements for their clients should embrace full disclosure beginning with an in-depth analysis of the insurance policies being considered for settlement and ending with a thorough review of the offer, closing statements and long-term plans for the policies. We encourage you to read both of these interesting and informative articles as they provide important industry insights from a man who literally helped build it.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: GROW WITH THE BEST The Lifeline Program is excited to announce that we recently launched Life Settlement Training for continuing education (CE) credit. This innovative program has been in the works for some time and we are pleased with the preliminary results. Numerous states have already approved these courses for CE credit, and we anticipate many more doing so in the near future. If you are interested in earning CE credits with The Lifeline Program, visit www.thelifeline.com to find out more.
EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
I joined The Lifeline Program a little more than two months ago as the firm's business processing manager. In this role I oversee the new business process including the preparation of new contracts and the completion of medical underwriting functions. I work closely with our legal team and account management department to make sure all new cases are efficiently and effectively managed internally so our offers go out in an expeditious manner. I am also a member of the recently created platinum service team. This new entity consisting of one member from each of the account management, contracts, pricing and business processing departments is designed to provide a higher level of personalized service in cases exceeding $8 million. Having spent more than 19 years in the life insurance industry, I was aware of Life Settlements before joining The Lifeline Program, however I had no idea how interesting and different this segment of the business would be. Life Settlements are unique and each and every day I arrive at the office ready to learn, grow and take on new challenges. The Lifeline Program is an exciting place to work, and I couldn't be more optimistic about the future.
