The Lifeline Program® Hosts Grand Opening of World Headquarters

Ribbon Cutting in Fort Lauderdale Thursday, April 15, 2004

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Apr. 14, 2004 -- The Lifeline Program® will host the grand opening of its world headquarters from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 at the new offices located at 2601 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Suite 101. The City of Fort Lauderdale has proclaimed Thursday as "The Lifeline Program Day."

Founded in 1989, the Lifeline Program is one of the pre-eminent life insurance settlement companies in the United States with more than 25 employees in Florida and a global network of more than 1,500 agents. The company managed the sale of more than $53 million in life insurance policies last year, an increase of more than 240 percent from the previous year. Company executives expect the figures to continue to rise.

"We have raised more than $100 million this quarter alone for the purchase of U.S.-based life insurance policies," said Wm. Scott Page, president and CEO of the Lifeline Program. "The market for life insurance settlements continues to be white hot."

A life settlement is the sale of an existing life insurance policy (for more than the current cash surrender value) by an elderly or terminally ill policyholder. A settlement is a unique alternative to surrendering a policy or letting it lapse and can be offered on term, whole or universal life policies.

To accommodate the company's rapid growth, the Lifeline Program leased 7,000 square feet in the Northern Trust Bank building on Oakland Park Blvd. Designed by Boca Raton-based YT Design Group and under the supervision of Lifeline Program executive vice president Stephen E. Terrell, YT principals Don Yoshino and Heather Trieschmann and YT project manager Laura Barrett, the new headquarters features a stylized waterfall, state-of-the-art videoconferencing center and an illuminated media wall. The Lifeline Program will continue to lease more than 3,500 square feet at its previous location and is negotiating for an additional 10,000 square feet in the new building.

Founded in 1989, The Lifeline Program® is a trade name of Wm. Page & Associates, Inc., one of the oldest and largest providers of life insurance settlements in the United States. Based in Atlanta, GA, it has pioneered business practices in the secondary market for life insurance policies while promoting intelligent industry regulation. Award winning television actress Betty White serves as a spokesperson for the company in its informational videos, advertisements and Web site, effectively making her the most recognizable figure associated with life settlements. The Lifeline Program is also known for its work in creating new markets for life settlement investing abroad, and it serves as the exclusive provider for a major life settlement investment fund based in Europe.
